The first item you might like to have on your page is a picture of your school or mascot. The type of images used on the Web are called GIF (pronounced like the peanut butter brand name). If you take a picture with a 35mm point and shoot camera, you will need to have the film processed and then digitize the picture. This simply means converting the paper picture into a format that the computer can read. This can be done by scanning the photo. Or you can request that your photographs be digitized on a CD-ROM. Ask you local film processing retailer how that can be done.Seattle Filmworks http://www.filmworks.com is a mail order vendor that will process and convert all of your photographs to a computer disk. They process all 35mm films, including Kodak, Konica, Fuji, and Agfa. For about $16.00, you will receive negatives, prints, a computer disk (Macintosh or Windows) with your photographs, and an index sheet (small proofs of all your pictures) along with viewing software. If you decide to purchase their film, you will ONLY be able to have it processed by Seattle Filmworks because they use a different chemical process than local film processing stores.
Another way to include a photograph of your school is by taking a picture with a digital camera. Then, import the image directly into a computer graphics program.
Whatever method you use, remember to save the photograph as a GIF image file.
Now add an image to your document.
<IMG SRC="filename.gif"> - The image tag allows you to add a picture to your home page. You would replace filename.gif with the name of your GIF image.
Example:
<IMG SRC="school.gif">
This is how it would look .

Notice the picture appears on the left side of the screen. You would probably like to have it centered. You can place the picture in the center of the page by putting the <Center> tag around the image tag.<CENTER><IMG SRC="school.gif"></CENTER>

Now the picture appears in the center of the page.
