The tin litho monkey holds bank in one hand, tips hat with other hand when coin is deposited. It was made by J. Chein and Company in New York.

In the 1950s and 1960s many banks provided free saving folders to their customers. This example holds $3.00 in dimes.

The traditional piggy bank was another bank give away. In this case the plastic bank would have to be broken in order to retrieve the coins.
