Utah Juniper
This tree is usually associated with pinyon pine and cliffrose in the Upper Sonoran Life Zone. The berries (really soft, fleshy cones) are relished by wildlife and by Indians. Indians use the bark to make sandals and pad cradleboards. Digging sticks and farming implements are made from the wood.
